From humble beginnings in a mobile eye treatment unit to a network of 19 eye hospitals and 59 clinics throughout the four provinces of Pakistan, LRBT has treated over 45 million patients since 1985.
In December 1985, the late Graham Layton and Zaka Rahmatulla founded and established the Layton Rahmatulla Benevolent Trust (LRBT) in Pakistan. Their goal was to treat curable blindness and visual impairment by providing high quality FREE eye surgery and ophthalmic care for those who cannot afford treatment.
We thank you for your ongoing support but there’s still more that needs to be done to help those in need.
Over twenty million people in Pakistan are either blind or have impaired vision, of those 3 million are children.
